The Alto Monferrato is a wonderfully scenic area dotted with castles and their historic hilltop villages.

The fast autostrada A26 can link to the busy riviera in less than 25 minutes.

A day out at Genoa (Genova) with its art treasures and palaces is only just over half an hour.

The historic roman spa town of Acqui Terme is a short 12 minutes West of Trisobbio

Exiting the A26 at Ovada:

For Trisobbio, the B&B and Castle Cottage, follow the blue signs for Alessandria. (SP185)

After crossing the river the left one, in Ovada, you will see clear signposts for Trisobbio and Cascina Aie, on the left. (SP200) - Follow for 8km. At Trisobbio there will be further signs.

For Roveta cottage at Tagliolo
 
(2 villages but both similar names)
 
go first to Trisobbio to collect the keys, as above.

After you have the keys, follow the green A26 signs from Trisobbio.

From motorway: take the road to Belforte. Pass through the village and 2 kms further on is a turn for Tagliolo.

50 metres after the junction, is a backward turn to the right, signposted to Cherli. 300m later, is a left turn, again to Cherli. The cottage is about 100m down, on the right, in a group of six houses, and signed clearly 'Casa Vacanza'. (Holiday house)
